On Saturday 18th June Locks Heath Shopping Village will be holding a Nautical Day, from 11am to 4pm.
The day will feature the Warsash Sea Cadets who, this year, were rewarded for all their hard work by being named Top Sea Cadet Unit in the U.K. They will be performing opening and closing colours drills along with a traditional hornpipe routine. They will also have a display of boats and information about the unit.
There will also be a presence from the R.N.L.I. who will have a stall and inflatable 'Kiddy' boat, and the Warsash Scuba Club who, along with a display of equipment, will have members on hand to share their underwater adventures.
The International Guild of Knot-Tyers will also have a display and offer the opportunity of learning how to make a wide variety of knots. They will also have a rope making machine.
